For a land that is noted for its beautiful scenery and mountains, most trekkers, climbers, and tourists visit for the physical challenges and natural splendor. Indeed as you can see from the photos below, and throughout this site, Nepal is one of the most gorgeous places imaginable. Yet as you appreciate these images, also consider that the country’s children, especially lower-caste girls, are among the most poverty-stricken neglected, and marginalized people on Earth.
